From inspection data to an operational ultrasonic Digital Twin.
Byte NDT uses specialized digital engineering to transform available data into an inspection Digital Twin: either to reproduce an existing physical reality, or to design and evaluate an inspection before the final probe, wedge, scanner or inspection system even exists.
An online engineering demonstrator covering inspection design, PA trajectories, active scanning, RF/FMC data, 3D TFM, EDM analysis, metrology, reporting and traceable exports.
What the demonstrator shows
The LSB941 demonstrator follows the digital inspection chain from engineering definition to interpretable inspection results:
Geometry → PA configuration → Scan path → Active scan → RF / FMC → 3D TFM → EDM analysis → Metrology → Report
Two directions for the Digital Twin
Twin of an existing reality
Existing geometry, inspection parameters, acquisitions and measurements can be used to reconstruct, analyse and progressively validate the digital inspection model.
Twin of a future inspection
CAD data, material properties, inspection requirements and target defects can be used to prepare the inspection digitally before the physical inspection equipment is finalized.
A progressive validation approach
The current demonstrator is an engineering Digital Twin under progressive validation against physical hardware and acquisition data. The objective is not to replace experimental validation, but to prepare, analyse, compare and improve the inspection before and after physical testing.
From data to inspection engineering
The Digital Twin becomes both a representation of an existing inspection and a digital prototype of the inspection that still has to be built.
