Byte NDT — Inspection-Level Digital Twin Engineering
The inspection performed digitally — and progressively validated against the inspection performed physically.
Byte NDT reproduces the ultrasonic inspection process digitally, from inspection configuration and RF response to Sectorial Scan, FMC, TFM, measurement, replay and progressive validation against real acquisition data.
What Byte NDT Delivers
- Geometry modelling and digital twin preparation
- Inspection procedure and coverage design
- Scanner, probe support, wedge and inspection-tool design
- Hardware architecture and system definition
- PAUT, TOFD and ultrasonic beam simulation
- 3D simulation of the complete examination
- Virtual examination and coverage validation
- AI-assisted signal and indication analysis
- Machine learning for predictive studies, performance optimisation and field-feedback improvement
- Automated reporting and engineering assistance
How Byte NDT Works
Byte NDT connects the digital inspection model with the physical inspection throughout the complete NDT workflow
BEFORE INSPECTION → Digital inspection design: geometry, probe, delay laws, coverage and expected ultrasonic response.
DURING INSPECTION → Physical acquisition: PAUT, UT, scanner or robotic system, with real RF and inspection data.
AFTER INSPECTION → Twin ↔ real-data comparison: TFM, measurement, replay, analytics and progressive validation.
Applications and Demonstrators
Byte NDT provides public demonstrators that show how ultrasonic engineering can be performed digitally, measured, replayed and progressively validated against real inspection data. Dedicated engineering applications and secure project workspaces extend the same approach to industrial inspection problem
- ASTM E2491 Reference-Block Digital Twin — Sectorial Scan, FMC/TFM, measurement and progressive validation
- Multi-Criterion Digital Twin Replay Demonstrator
- EDM FMC–TFM Digital Demonstrator
- Generic Ultrasonic Array Designer and 3D Matrix-Array tools
- Secure customer project workspaces and dedicated Twin studies
Request a Twin Study
Send us your component geometry, inspection requirements, expected indications or defects, and any available inspection data. Byte NDT will define and build a dedicated inspection-level Digital Twin, perform the required simulations and measurements, and progressively compare the Twin with real acquisition data when available.
